Fanox SIR-A — Recloser Control & Overhead Line RTU Protection Relay
The SIR-A is specifically designed for overhead MV distribution lines, combining full directional protection, recloser (79) control, and RTU functionality in a single device. It uses Low-Power Potential Transformers (LPVTs / V-sensors) — capacitive or resistive — eliminating the need for conventional bulky VTs.

- 4 current channels (/1 A and /5 A CTs); 6 voltage channels (capacitive & resistive LPVTs)
- Auxiliary supply: 24–230 Vdc/ac; 48–230 Vdc/ac; or 24–48 Vdc (model-dependent)
- Arc Flash Detection: 4 AFD inputs + 4 high-speed outputs (model-dependent)
- SOTF (Switch-On-To-Fault): rapid fault clearing on manual CB closing
- Circuit breaker (52) and recloser (79) control & signalling
- Front keypad: 7 navigation keys + 6 hotkeys + configurable LEDs
- Communication: Front micro-USB; Rear RS485 – Modbus RTU, DNP3.0, IEC60870-5-103; Rear Ethernet – Modbus TCP, DNP3 TCP, IEC60870-5-104, IEC61850, SNTP, Web Server
