How an ERV Works

The ERV simultaneously exhausts stale indoor air and draws in fresh outdoor air through a heat-exchange core. In winter, heat from the outgoing warm air preheats the incoming cold air. In summer, the process reverses, pre-cooling incoming air. The core also transfers humidity, helping maintain comfortable indoor humidity levels year-round.
