SATEC BFM-II – Multi-Circuit Branch Feeder Power Meter
The SATEC BFM-II Branch Feeder Monitor™ is a modular, DIN-rail mounted multi-circuit power and energy meter designed to dramatically reduce installation costs and panel space compared to deploying individual meters for each load. It monitors up to 18 three-phase circuits (or 54 single-phase, or any combination) from a single device.
With Class 0.5S revenue-grade accuracy, anti-tamper design, and multi-tenant TOU billing built in, the BFM-II is the preferred choice for commercial buildings, shopping centers, office parks, and medium-voltage substations.
Multi-Circuit Metering
- Up to 18 three-phase loads or 54 single-phase loads per device
- Individual billing for each submeter (TOU): 8 energy registers × 8 tariffs
- 4 seasons × 4 day types; 8 tariff changes per day
- 120-day automatic daily energy profile per submeter
- Pulse input via DI for water and gas sub-metering
Revenue Metering
- Class 0.5S / 0.5 per IEC 62053-22 / ANSI C12.20
- Anti-tamper wiring seal design
Power Quality
- Harmonic analysis: THD, TDD, K-factor; up to 25th harmonic order
- 64 samples per cycle; 50/60 Hz operation
Dual Voltage Inputs
- Optional Voltage Input Module (VIM) for two independent 3-phase power sources
- Each submeter assignable to either voltage source
Communication
- RS-485 | Ethernet 10/100Base-T | USB Type A
- Modbus | BACnet | DNP3.0 | IEC 60870-5-101/104
- Optional 4G cellular modem
Modular I/O
- Up to 72 digital inputs, 18 digital outputs, 4 analog inputs
- Current input modules: HACS (40 mA), RS5 (5A), Flex Clamp (3V AC / Rogowski)
Mounting & Power
- DIN-rail mount
- Self-energized from measured voltage (70–561V AC L-L)
- Optional AUX power: 50–290V AC / 40–290V DC
